Summer is the time for lightweight clothing and bare skin. And the best option under summer clothes is a t-shirt bra. But when the temperature hits the 90’s, some molded or contour bras can get hot, sweaty and uncomfortable. And this is where Wacoal’s bras of summer come in. The brand has introduced lightweight bras made of Supplex fabric. Made by Dupont, Supplex is a nylon material with the feel of cotton. It’s breathable, odor resistant and holds its shape, even with multiple washings.
Wacoal, always an innovator and one of the most popular brands on HerRoom, rolled out a collection of Supplex bras just in time for summer. They offer several styles, including underwire and soft cup bras. T-back bras, which have straps set close in on the shoulder, are a good option under tanks and sleeveless tops and are popular on HerRoom. Personally, I don’t wear these racerback styles because the strap construction puts pressure on my trapezius muscles, but many women prefer this bra style, especially in summer. We also carry several of Wacoal’s spacer foam bras, which are a great summer option because they have contoured cups without the bulk.
Wacoal’s Supplex bras come in basic colors and are sized up to 38DD (D2). You can see their other new styles and colors in our Wacoal Lookbook, along with my recommendations for each bra.
