Dear Tomima,

My name is Paul and I am blown away by your web site presence and blog!

Thank you for all the information that is provided! I feel like i have taken a course in all things lingerie! Very informative and interesting.

I have been a stay at home father for the last couple of years and support a really great 'breadwinning' wife named Julie in a multitude of ways including all housework - cleaning, cooking, sewing, home organization, childcare, and both general and intimate laundry!
I take great pride in making sure my wife is successful in every way possible, and I have been very good at organizing her closets which includes her collection lingerie. That being said i believe a now know so much more about lingerie (in a good way) and plan another rework on her closets with added items and additions to her collection! Thank you so much for the real and informative information sections! They are a wonderful addition to help me be the best 21st century homemaker/husband/father i can be!

Regards and thank you again,
Paul

ps... I would have never dreamed I would be learning so much about women's clothing and lingerie... I have even surprised my wife with my suggestions and ideas for her as shed climbs the corporate ladder!

I live in a hot climate, and 99% of the shirts worn by women under 50 (and many women over 50) are wide boat necks, racer backs, or v-necks and square necks that are cut more than 1" below the collar bone. I've never seen a single "full coverage" bra that didn't show under almost all these styles. On the other hand as an average figure woman (36 C), I can't get support from a bra with a center from less than 3". The low center fronts on demi-bras are problematic, and the extra 3" of coverage on the outside of full coverage bras make them unwearable where I live. This is one customer who really wishes sweetheart necklines would make a comeback.

I've always been confused by the "X inches from band measurement" rule. My underbust rib cage measurement is 29" and my largest-bust measurement is 31".. I fit fine in 32AA and smaller 32A bras, but if I round up and add 4" to my underbust, I end up with a 34 band measurement, which is -3 inches from my bust measurement!

This is so true. For years I didn't understand why no bras ever seemed to sit right, no matter what cup or band size. I just recently realized it's because my breasts are so close together they almost touch and there's nowhere for the gore to sit. Now I know to look for styles with close-set cups and ironically, push-up bras, which I've always avoided in the past. A style that would normally push the breasts together actually fits me comfortably since they're already pushed together naturally.

I tried this on at Neiman's and it didn't fit me at all! I am a 32FF and a long-time Fantasie buyer. The associate gave me several different sizes and we couldn't find one that worked as well as the original t-shirt bra. I was disappointed.

That is hilarious! According to the company most men are average and fit the smallest "A" cup. Hmm. They may want to rethink their strategy.

Most 'average' men I know don't think of themselves as average at all, much less able to fit in the smallest cup there is.

If it's between them selecting the 'smallest' A cup jockstrap or choosing the regular "large" jockstrap they will go for the large one every time.

Tomima, I wonder if you could make any suggestions for specific bras that fall under either of these categories? For me specifically, I have a large cup size and more wide-set breasts.

Another issue I have is that I just feel so spread out all the time. It's as you say, because I'm more wide-set, but does anyone make any kind of accessory that you can put over a bra to pull them together and make them feel less bouncy or spread out or whatever? I just always look so big because my bra size is big, but my frame isn't. I wish I could make them look smaller and more together!

Yet not a single set of maternity lingerie with cotton underwear. I'll stick to the local stores for maternity cloths until this changes. Do most pregnant women really believe healthy and sexy are mutually exclusive?
